The French Association of Seismic Engineering (AFPS, Association Française du Génie Parasismique) in association with the EOST (École et Observatoire des Sciences de la Terre), is organizing its tenth National Symposium, AFPS’19, in Strasbourg, a major centre of French seismology. It will take place from 24 to 27 September 2019 at the “Hôtel du département du Bas-Rhin”, in the heart of the historic centre.

The AFPS’19 Symposium is entitled “La société face au risque sismique: connaissance, protection et gestion de crise” (“Society facing seismic risk: knowledge, protection and crisis management”).

This conference, open to all, encourages exchanges between the various actors concerned by seismic risk: public authorities, civil security, insurers, researchers, architects, engineers, etc.

The exchanges will be stimulated by a balanced programme between oral and poster sessions.
